[Ink & Fire] Awaiting Two Cats...
« Thread Started on Oct 21, 2007, 7:04pm »

The leader of the cats of Fire was curled up beside her element. Her tail was wrapped around her body. Her ginger head, which glowed red in the light of the flickering flames, rested on her outstretched paws. Her amber eyes were open, staring into nothing. Her ears were drooped, as if she was tired. The shadows in the cave changed from second to second, and her mind seemed to be dazed by it. Every so often, Luna would give the flames a good fire blast to keep it going strong. She allowed no cat to enter, save for those that should be arriving soon. Sighing, her instincts told her that sunset was nearly here. Twilight, the word for what the world looked like while the sun died and the moon was reborn was what she was waiting for. Then, Ink and Fire would return. Slowly, she lifted her head, and gave herself some grooming licks, her mind gradually returning to the present.

Ink slowly and quietly entered the cave. He couldn't really tal because he had stuffed the prey in his mouth. He had caught two mice and two squirrels. He dropped the two mice down by Luna and ran back to get the squirrels. When he came back he laid down and said, discouraged, "I only caught two mice and two squirrels. It took awhile to catch the squirrels." He would probably lose now since he had onlt four things of prey altogther

Fire Glows in the Night

Fire entered the den, carrying his prey. He padded up to the two cats and set his prey down. He looked at his five pitiful catches and mewed simply, "A vole, two mice, and two magpies." He looked at Ink's pile and noticed he only had four pieces of prey, but one amount as a difference wasn't that bad.

Ink squinted his eyes at Fire. Ink knew he would lose. He pushed his prey closer to Luna and headed for the door. He wasn't interested in the "prize" Luna was going to give Fire. He walked out and wagged his tail boredly back and forth. He was about to leave when something hit him. He had this feeling that he should sneak around and see what the prize would be. He wondered if he'd get into trouble though. They would surely scent him right. He'd just stay a certain distance away and lay down, and that's what he did. He kept his ears up to listen to see what Luna was going to say.
